Children’s / Sunday School
Sunday School places kids from ages 4-12 into age specific classrooms that teach Biblical stories and concepts through arts, crafts, games, discussions, and storytelling. In addition to the standard classes, we offer our Rainbow Class for special needs students.
Our mission is to teach:
· WHO the one true God is – JESUS wrapped in flesh (John 1:1-5,14),
· WHAT it takes to be saved – Acts 2:38.
It’s our goal to create an environment that’s relatable, fun, educational, and that will draw the kids closer to God. Following the lesson, all the kids gather for a Praise Break to sing, praise, and worship. We want the next generation of kids to develop into world changers that will bring love and joy to their communities in the name of Jesus.
Super Church
Super Church brings ages 4-12 together for one SUPER time of puppets, snacks, games, learning a memory verse, action songs, skits, lessons, prayer time and more! There are multiple Super Church Teams through-out the month that entertain and lead the kids through Biblical stories and learnings in a large group-based environment. This is a great, interactive time where the kids can get up and get involved in the worship. There is always a lot of movement and laughter and each time the service ends with a special time in God’s presence. The Super Church Teams believes in a whole lotta fun and a whole lotta Jesus!
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise…” (Psalms 100:4 KJV) And a great way to do just that is through playing and singing music for the Lord.
The Music Ministry at South Flint Tabernacle is focused on creating an atmosphere that is conducive to praising and worshiping the Lord, which creates an environment that allows the Lord to bless those who bless Him.
SFT’s Music Ministry is comprised of many different backgrounds, styles and talents; all blended together to make melodies, harmonies, rhythm and a joyful noise to the Lord. “Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.” (Psalms 149:1 KJV)

Prison
South Flint Tabernacle has an active ministry inside of the Genesee County Jail, providing five weekly services for both men and women. Inmates receive Apostolic preaching and teaching, fulfilling Jesus' scriptural commandment in Matthew 25 that we should visit those in prison and deliver the hope of the Gospel. Additionally, SFT's jail ministry team connects with inmates upon their release, working to assist former inmates and their families to achieve the plan that Jesus has for each Christian!
Prayer
SFT is a church undergirded by prayer! We believe strongly in the power and importance of prayer. Jesus, who is our greatest example, prayed quite often. We are privileged to have a ministry dedicated to promoting prayer. The prayer ministry has helped give focus to our prayers. When urgent needs arise the prayer team joins together in unified prayed to touch Heaven. Prayer is one of the greatest privileges and responsibilities of the believer. We thank God for leadership who believes in the power of prayer so much to dedicate an entire ministry to it!
